Understanding the relationship between PHIUS+ Certification, the EPA Energy Star New Homes program, and the DOE Zero Energy Ready Homes program.
Beginning in 2012, the Passive House Institute US (PHIUS) launched a partnership with the leading energy efficiency standards and certification organizations in the US – the EPA, DOE and RESNET.
Through these partnerships, an enhanced version of the Passive House US certification program was launched – the PHIUS+ Certified Homes program. What sets PHIUS+ apart from other passive building standards is that it ties into the existing infrastructure of energy efficiency certification standards, such as the EPA ENERGY STAR and DOE Zero Energy Ready Homes programs, in order to ensure that PHIUS+ homes are not just highly energy efficient, but durable and commissioned by credentialed on-site verification professionals.
Please join this special webinar presentation with Chris McTaggart, QA/QC Manager for the PHIUS+ Rater program, to learn more about PHIUS+ certification standards, the required co-requisite certification under ENERGY STAR and DOE ZERH, and the full scope of project certification processes and responsibilities for all relevant parties.
